General Information

I am a fun loving , outgoing person with a love for the performing arts. I am adventurous, I love the out doors. I have a love for the earth and nature. I am a very committed person. I never give up and I do not submt myself to failure. I am conservative in my life style, although I have a lot of friends, however, they respect my views as I respect theirs. I consider my academic achievements as important and place my family life first.

Skills/Talents

My specialities in the performing Arts are Singing, Acting, while I love dancing as well, but do not have any formal training in dancing. I love doing shoots for Photographic Modeling as well I was a Member of Afrikaans and English Public Speaking teams at school, where I was also a member of the debating team. I have a love for creative writing which landed me a seat on the school's newspaper editing team. I sang in the shool choir and an elite girls singing group called Jonge Juffies. I represented my school on the hockey field as well. I have excellent mime skills, including the painted face. I can sing , dance and act and also take on assignments as a photographic model

Experience

I have been taking part in Eisteddfods and competitions since 2001 in the vocal and acting genres. I took part in the South African Championships for Performing Arts from 2005 -2011, where I was chosen to represent South Africa in the World Championships in Los Angeles for each year of participating. In 2011 I was selected by my school for a lead singing part in the school revue called Afri-jol, which was staged at the Mardi-Gras Theatre at Carnival City. I was also selected for a dance part in the same revue. In 2001 I was also selected as no.5 of the Top 10 performers of the region at the Gala Event for Top Achievers of the National Eisteddfod Academy for 2010. I have been invited to sing at numerous weddings, 21st Birthday celebrations and other special occasions in the past. Our school hosts an annual beauty competition, in 2012 I was selected as the presenter of the Senior Section of this competition along with one of my male counterparts at school. The highlight of my acting career thus far was early in 2012 when I was selected to play the lead part in a music DVD which was directed by Willie Olwage, Director of the Documentary, Play it as it Lies, featuring Fergus Buchan, and Produced by Insence Production in conjunction with Clemens Mans from Cross TV and Renier Weideman from the Short Film Smoorverlief which was produced for M-Net. The DVD for the song called " Trein na Nerens " , a gospel song which is featured on Cross TV and is available on You-Tube Music. I have been cast in Elbe Haveman's stage production , What's the Story, which was performed at the Waenhuis Theatre in Pta . I have represented Performer Corner at the CANSA Relay for Life which took place at Denel Properties in Sept 2012 Ms Cobi Schoerie, the Orginizer of the Leef vir 'n Lewe fundraising organization held an Eisteddfod in PTA in Aug 2012 of which a final round was held at the Waenhuis Theatre in Sept. The final round also included a stage performance directed by Jackie Skeen from Performer Corner . I was chosen as one of a group of six performers to represent Performer Corner at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees ( KKNK) in Oudtshoorn to be held in April 2013. The group will be performing at the Top 40 Verhoog on 5 and 6 April 2013 . During the Grahamstown Arts Festival in July 2013 I performed as an actress and soloist in the stage production called " Wasem " which was directed by At Strydom. The Smash Hit Company, producers of Reik Na Die Sterre, a musical planned to be the biggest Afrikaans Musical ever, invited me for an audition at the State Theatre in PTA on 12 August 203. It was a " once in a lifetime experience" to audition with people like Willem Botha , from Pretville and Liefling as well as Christiaan Botha - NRG, Dewald Louw, Lee Scott and Johan C Venter . My videos to the song #EenKeer and #HemelOpAarde are available on Youtube. Both the songs were written by Hugo Ludik and Reynardt Hugo from the ADAM group. It is an amazing opportunity and experience to work with them. I have done numerous shows, ie WeChat ATKV Strandverhoog Hartenbos and Mosselbaai in Dec 2013 and Opening Act for Elvis Blue at ERT. Iwill also be the Opening Act for Elvis se Seun in Meyerton on 1 March 2014 . My programme for the ABSA KKNK 2014 in Oudtshoorn has been posted to my Facebook page. I will be perfoming on the kykNET Stage , DJ Ossewa Stage, the RSG Stage and also on the ABSA Kleinverhoog during the ABSA KKNK . Qualifications

I have been undergoing formal drama training at a drama studio since 2002 in the genres Classical, including Greeck Theatre, Comical, Contemporary , Dramatical and Open Genres. I have also recieved training in prepared and unprepared Mime Skills and make-up and was trained by a vocal coach as from 2001. I have done 2 debating courses hosted by the A.T.K.V. , one in 2011 and the other in 2012 . I attended a Workshop on 21 Sept 2012 which included in information slot during which Izak Davel shared some information and secrets on the Performing Arts environment. The workshop included information on the utilization of the stage and also on stage performance of individuals . I use every audition as an opportunity to improve my stage persona and performances as every director / audition interviewer hands out tips in order to guide young performers. I consider these tips as valueble , as it comes directly from people in the industry, after all , they are the ones who know what they want and need in a performer
